Heartfulness Meditation Workshop: Varun Arjun University Marks World Meditation Day

Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, under Varun Arjun University, Banthra–Shahjahanpur, organized a heartfelt “Heartfulness Meditation Workshop” on the occasion of the Second World Meditation Day on December 22, 2025. The session was graced by Heartfulness trainers Mr. Deepak Kumar Sharma, Mrs. Neha Ojha, and Mrs. Sudha Singh as chief guests, and presided over by Principal and Dean Dr. Ravindra Nath Shukla. After the ceremonial lamp lighting and eco-friendly plant presentation, Mr. Sharma emphasized the importance of meditation in the medical field, highlighting that it strengthens patience, focus, empathy, and emotional balance in doctors. He explained Heartfulness Meditation’s global reach across 150 countries and encouraged students to integrate mindfulness practices with medical education for holistic development.Later, Mrs. Neha Ojha led a practical meditation session, guiding students through breathing and concentration exercises that created an atmosphere of peace and positivity. Participants reported a sense of mental lightness and renewed energy. In his concluding address, Dr. Shukla expressed gratitude to the Heartfulness team, noting that such programs nurture compassion and mental resilience among students. The event concluded with the distribution of the organization’s special magazine on meditation and self-development. University leaders Dr. Keshav Kumar Agarwal (Chancellor), Dr. Ashok Kumar Agarwal (Pro-Chancellor), and Dr. Kiran Agarwal (Vice-Chancellor) praised the initiative, calling it a significant step toward integrating human values into medical education.
