Varun Arjun University, in collaboration with Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, organized a free health camp in Lohargawan village of the Jaitipur area on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. The camp received an overwhelming response from local residents, with a total of 459 patients registering for medical consultations and health check-ups.
During the camp, five patients were diagnosed with cataracts. Their surgeries will be conducted free of cost at Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra. In addition, free blood sugar tests were provided to 97 patients, while approximately 120 patients underwent free blood pressure screenings. The medical team also distributed free eye drops and medicines to 387 patients. Discount coupons for MRI, CT Scan, and other diagnostic investigations were also distributed among the attendees.
The health team and the Public Relations Officer (PRO) educated villagers about the importance of regular health check-ups and informed them about the Family Health Card offered by the hospital for ₹200, valid for one year. Cardholders are entitled to free OPD registration, a 20% additional discount on medicines and diagnostic tests, and exemption from admission file charges during hospitalization. The card also offers a 25% discount on general surgeries and a 10% discount on blood requirements.
The PRO further highlighted that the hospital provides free admission, free beds, free nursing care, and free medical consultations. Facilities such as ICU, ventilator support, dialysis, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound services, and various surgical procedures are available round the clock at affordable rates.
