Varun Arjun University and Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, organized a free health camp on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Nausna village of the Khudaganj area. A total of 487 patients registered at the camp. Cataracts were detected in 10 patients, and their cataract surgeries will be performed free of cost at Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra.
Free blood sugar tests were conducted for 105 patients, while approximately 140 patients received free blood pressure examinations. Medicines and eye drops were distributed free of cost to 425 patients. Discount coupons for MRI, CT scans and other diagnostic investigations were also distributed.
The healthcare team and PRO also educated villagers about the importance of regular health check-ups and provided information about the Family Health Card, which is available from the hospital for ₹200 and remains valid for one year. Cardholders receive free OPD registration, an additional 20% discount on medicines and investigations, and a free admission file. The card also provides a 25% discount on general surgeries and a 10% discount when blood is required.
The PRO informed residents that the hospital provides free admission, beds, nursing care and medical consultation, along with affordable 24-hour facilities including surgeries, medicines, ICU, ventilator, dialysis, MRI, CT scan and ultrasound services.
Rajendra Prasad (Pradhan) and Brajesh Mishra provided special support and cooperation for the camp. Specialists from ophthalmology, general medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, dentistry and dermatology departments, along with PRO Vipin Sharma and paramedical staff, were present.
