CME on Physician Wellness and Stress Management Through Heartfulness Techniques

Varun Arjun Medical College, Shahjahanpur, successfully organized a three-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on “Physician Wellness and Stress Management Through Heartfulness Techniques” from 29th to 31st October 2026, between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the Central Auditorium.
The programme featured distinguished guest speakers Dr. N. K. Singh (Principal, Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) Medical College and Research Centre, Moradabad) and Dr. Sadhana Singh (Professor and Head, Department of Community Medicine). They shared valuable insights into physician wellness, stress management, emotional balance, and the practical application of Heartfulness techniques. They were joined by Zonal Coordinator Shalini Malhotra and Dr. Anurag from the Heartfulness team, who also made significant contributions to the event.
The sessions focused on the importance of mental health, self-awareness, meditation, and relaxation techniques in managing academic and professional stress. The programme also introduced MBBS students to practical approaches for maintaining emotional resilience, concentration, and a healthy work-life balance.
The CME was organized under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Ashok Agarwal, President of Varun Arjun Medical College, Dr. R. N. Shukla, Dean and Principal, and Dr. Deepak Oberoi, PG Director. It was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Dharmendra Kumar Gupta, Professor and Head, Department of Community Medicine. The event was notably attended by Professor Dr. Purva Shoor, Professor Dr. Intekhab Alam, Associate Professor Dr. Vinayak H. Kashyap, and Assistant Professor Dr. Aditya Prakash Singh from the Department of Community Medicine.
The programme was organized for the MBBS Batch 2026–27, providing students with valuable knowledge and practical insights into the importance of mental health and holistic well-being in medical education and professional life.
The CME concluded with an emphasis on the message that a healthy and stress-resilient physician is essential for delivering compassionate and quality patient care.
