Varun Arjun University proudly celebrated Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti and Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 31st October 2025, honouring the Iron Man of India and reaffirming the spirit of unity and integrity among students and faculty.The celebration was graced by Dr. (Col.) Ravindra Nath Shukla, Dean & Principal, Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, who delivered an inspiring address highlighting Sardar Patel’s vision, leadership, and his historic role in unifying India. The event began with the Unity Pledge, administered by Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. L. R. Verma, encouraging all to uphold the values of oneness, patriotism, and brotherhood. Students delivered eloquent speeches reflecting deep admiration for Sardar Patel’s ideals and the contemporary relevance of National Unity Day. A vibrant “Rally for Unity” followed, starting from the VAMC college ground to the main gate of the university. Students and faculty participated enthusiastically, carrying banners and raising slogans promoting peace, integrity, and harmony.
Students Dr. Akshay Sharma (Intern, MBBS) and Mr. Neeraj Spolia were felicitated for their exceptional enthusiasm and teamwork. Mr. Rudraksh Mishra (1st Year MBBS) and Mr. Gaurav Kumar (1st Year B.Pharm) were recognized for their outstanding knowledge and insight during the event “Medical Education, Spirituality, and Moral Values” held on 28th October 2025.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of Dr. Anil Pal (Deputy Registrar), Dr. Santhana Krishnan (Vice Principal), Dr. Thimmaraju (Head, Biochemistry), Dr. Dharmendra Gupta (Head, Community Medicine), and Dr. Poornima S. Bhat (IQAC Coordinator). Faculty participants dromedary VAMC included Dr. Rahul Saxena, Dr. Prasad Mergu, Dr.Vijay Kumar Shetty and Varun Arjun college of Pharmacy Mr. Nagendra, Ms. Sushmita Singh, Mr. Ankit, and Mr. Gaurav, Miss.Eshika Saxena from Department of Forensic Sciences.Administrative support was extended by Mr. Lalit Chauhan and Mr. Siddhant Gangwar.
Messages from Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Keshav Agarwal, Hon’ble Pro Chancellor Dr. Ashok Agarwal, and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Kiran Agarwal inspired students to embrace discipline, dedication, and service. The celebration concluded with a collective reaffirmation to uphold the ideals of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and contribute to the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”
