79th Independence Day Celebration at Varun Arjun University

Varun Arjun University, Banthra-Shahjahanpur, celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15th August 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. 

The event, graced by Chief Guest Dr. Vivek Kumar Mishra (CMO, Shahjahanpur), began with flag hoisting followed by the national anthem, instilling pride and devotion among all. In his address, Dr. Mishra emphasized the sacrifices of freedom fighters like Ramprasad Bismil and Ashfaqulla Khan, and highlighted India’s progress in health, science, technology, education, and space research, urging youth to contribute to nation-building. Principal & Dean Dr. (Col.) Ravindra Nath Shukla and faculty members including Dr. Alok Agrawal and Dr. Aditi Srivastava inspired students with historical insights and examples of India’s growth. 

Students performed patriotic songs, poems, and cultural programs, while interns highlighted the responsibility of youth in strengthening the nation. A rangoli competition and yoga demonstrations were also organized, with winners honored by the administration. Chancellor Dr. Keshav Kumar Agrawal, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Agrawal, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kiran Agrawal extended greetings, reminding everyone to uphold the ideals of freedom fighters. 

The celebration concluded with “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” leaving the campus echoing with patriotism and a renewed commitment to national service.
