One Health Initiative: VAMC & RH Organizes Awareness Rally

A “One World, One Health” awareness rally was successfully organized on 3rd November 2025 under the One Health Initiative, in collaboration with ICMR and IAPSM. The event aimed to promote awareness about the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health — the core principle of the One Health approach.

The rally commenced at 11:00 A.M. from the entrance of the medical college and saw enthusiastic participation from around 710 members, including faculty, junior residents, interns, MBBS, nursing, pharmacy, paramedical students. Participants carried banners and placards with impactful slogans emphasizing the importance of collective action for global health and sustainability.

Dr. (Col.) R. N. Shukla, Principal and Dean, flagged off the rally and addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration to prevent and control zoonotic diseases and promote a healthier ecosystem.Rally was successfully coordinated by dr Dharmendra Kumar Gupta proffesor and head of department of community medicine, Dr shivani, Dr Intekhab, Dr Aditye, Dr Raghav, Dr arsalan, Dr Charan, Dr Danish , Dr Afzal, Dr Nirmal also contribute in the Rally. The appreciation for the rally was received from State Nodal officer of IAPSM .

The event concluded with a brief interaction session, reaffirming the commitment of VAMC & RH towards community health promotion and public awareness through such initiatives.
