Varun Arjun University (VAU) celebrated Uttar Pradesh Diwas 2026 with great enthusiasm and cultural pride, highlighting the state’s rich heritage, history, and contributions. The celebrations, part of ongoing campus cultural activities, witnessed active participation from students and faculty members.
As part of academic engagement, a UP Diwas Quiz was held on 24th January 2026, covering the history of Uttar Pradesh, freedom movement, national leaders, geography, culture, folk arts, major festivals, tourism, economy, governance, and the state’s contributions in education, science, literature, and sports. The quiz aimed to enhance awareness and pride among students about Uttar Pradesh’s legacy and contemporary progress.
To showcase the vibrant cultural heritage of the state, students performed traditional folk dances and music such as Alha, Biraha Kathghora, reflecting folk traditions, bravery narratives, social themes, and cultural diversity. Cultural programmes and poetry recitations added literary and artistic depth, seamlessly integrating with the campus Cultural Fest to create a lively and festive atmosphere.
The event received strong support from the university leadership, including Dr. Keshav Agarwal, Chancellor; Dr. Ashok Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor; Dr. Kiran Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor; and Dr. Lata Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor, BIU. Dr. R. N. Shukla, Dean & Principal, VAMC, also encouraged students and appreciated their enthusiastic participation and cultural expressions.
The UP Diwas 2026 celebrations at VAU fostered cultural awareness, regional pride, and reinforced the institution’s commitment to holistic education by blending academic learning with cultural and co-curricular activities.
