On 13 February 2026, Varun Arjun University, Shahjahanpur (U.P), organized a grand program on “AI in Medical and Paramedical Science” at the main auditorium of Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital. Conducted as a Pre-Summit activity under the University Grants Commission (UGC) ahead of the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026, the event aimed to integrate medicine and technology and inspire innovation in healthcare.
The Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, Mr. Claudius Lazarus, Co-Founder and CEO of Bareilly MedTech Incubation and Innovation Labs, highlighted the critical importance of innovation in healthcare. He encouraged students to develop devices, software models, diagnostic tools, and healthcare solutions into viable startups, explaining steps like idea validation, prototype development, clinical trials, regulatory approvals, funding strategies, and market entry. He showcased AI-based clinical decision support systems, robotic surgeries, smart ICU monitoring, and digital health platforms, and assured mentorship, technical collaboration, and industry networking support through Bareilly MedTech Incubation and Innovation Labs. The session concluded with an engaging quiz on innovation, startups, and AI-driven healthcare advancements.
Er. Sachin Chauhan, Media and Marketing In-charge of Varun Arjun University, delivered a lecture titled “The Journey of Healthcare Services from the Vedic Era to the Age of AI and Robotics,” tracing healthcare evolution from ancient India to modern AI-driven diagnostics, molecular and genomics-based personalized medicine, AI-powered patient record systems, and big data analytics.
Faculty members included Dr. Pradeep Singh (Principal, Varun Arjun College of Pharmacy), Dr. Santhanan Krishnan (Vice-Principal, Varun Arjun Medical College), Dr. Poornima S. Bhat (Professor, ENT), Dr. Bharat (Assistant Professor, Pharmacology), and Ms. Neha Gupta (Vice-Principal, Paramedical Sciences). Students from Varun Arjun Medical College, Varun Arjun College of Nursing, Varun Arjun College of Pharmacy, College of Paramedical Sciences, Department of Management, and the Faculty of Forensic Science actively participated.
