Varun Arjun University, Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur organized a free health camp on Sunday, July 19, 2026, in Village Bhainsi, Kanth area.
A total of 355 patients registered at the camp. During screening, 06 patients were found to have cataract and their surgeries will be conducted free of cost at Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra.
Free diagnostic services were also provided. 90 patients underwent free blood sugar tests and approximately 110 patients had free blood pressure checks. Eye drops and medicines were distributed free of cost to 315 patients. Discount coupons for MRI, CT scans and other diagnostic investigations were also distributed.
The health team and PROs spread awareness about the importance of regular health checkups. Information about the Family Health Card was also shared. The card is issued by the hospital for ₹200 and is valid for one year. Through the Family Health Card, OPD registration is free. Cardholders get an additional 20% discount on medicines and all diagnostic tests. The admission file is provided free during hospitalization. Cardholders also receive 25% discount on general surgeries and 10% discount if blood transfusion is required.
The PRO further informed that the hospital provides free admission, free bed, free nursing care and free medical consultation to patients. All types of surgeries are performed along with affordable medicines. 24×7 facilities for ICU, ventilator, dialysis, MRI, CT scan and ultrasound are available at low cost.
