Students of Varun Arjun College of Pharmacy staged an impactful street play on “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life” at Varun Arjun University, spreading awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The programme was organized under the aegis of the National Education Policy Saarthi Cell.
Through engaging performances and powerful slogans such as “We all have one slogan—let our nation be drug-free,”the students urged young people to stay away from substance abuse and contribute towards building a healthier and drug-free society.
Dr. Keshav Agrawal, Chancellor, emphasized that the youth are the future of the nation and called upon them to stay away from substance abuse. Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Pro-Chancellor, highlighted the impact of addiction on individuals, families, and society, stressing the need for collective efforts to combat the issue.
Dr. Kiran Agrawal, Vice-Chancellor, said that education must go beyond academic learning and help develop responsible and socially aware citizens. Dr. Anil Kumar Pal, Registrar, emphasized the importance of a drug-free campus for the well-being and future of students.
Dr. Pradeep Singh, Principal, Varun Arjun College of Pharmacy, appreciated the students’ initiative and highlighted the important role of pharmacy students in promoting public health awareness. Professor Dr. Purnima Bhatt, Coordinator, National Education Policy Saarthi Cell, said that creative platforms such as street plays can effectively communicate socially relevant messages to young people.
Students including Jaspreet, Aastha, Abhishek, Faizan, Anat, Himanshu, Ayush-1 and Ayush-2, along with faculty members and staff, actively participated in the programme.
The event concluded with a collective message to stay away from drugs and work together towards creating a healthier and drug-free society.
