Under Varun Arjun University, the modern BERA (Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry) machine was inaugurated on Monday in the ENT Department at Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital. This advanced facility was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. V.K. Mishra.
On this occasion, the Dean and Principal of the college, Dr. (Col.) R.N. Shukla, was specially present. The event was attended by the Head and Professor of the ENT Department, Dr. Santhana Krishnan, Professor Dr. Poornima S. Bhat, along with faculty members, senior residents, and junior residents.
Also present on the occasion were Dr. Probal Chatterjee from Teerthanker Mahaveer University and Dr. Poonam Omar from Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil Autonomous State Medical College.
In addition, Dr. Dharmendra Gupta, Dr. Deepak Chaturvedi, Administrative Officer Lalit Chauhan, and Quality Manager Dr. Shivani Gupta also participated in the event.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. V.K. Mishra stated that the introduction of the BERA machine would facilitate more accurate and rapid assessment of newborn babies and patients with hearing impairment. He emphasized that this advancement would significantly enhance the diagnosis and management of hearing-related disorders in the district.
Principal Dr. (Col.) R.N. Shukla highlighted that the institution continues to strengthen its healthcare infrastructure by introducing modern medical technologies aimed at providing advanced and quality patient care.
The ENT Department team also shared insights regarding the applications and benefits of the BERA machine. The doctors and staff of the institution described this addition as a significant step forward in improving patient care and audiological diagnostic services.
