Day5: SWASTH NARI, SASHAKT PARIVAR ABHIYAN: Free Health Camp

Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, organised a free health camp on Sunday, September 21, 2025, under the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan 2025’ (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family Campaign).

A total of 608 patients registered for the camp. ​Among the patients, 10 were diagnosed with cataracts and will receive free operations at the hospital. Additionally, 225 patients received free blood sugar tests, and approximately 105 patients had their blood pressure checked for free. A total of 532 patients were given free medicines.

The hospital also distributed coupons for discounts on MRI, CT scans, and other tests. The health team and PRO also created awareness about the hospital’s Family Health Card, which offers a 20% discount on medicines and tests, and a 25% discount on surgeries for one year. The camp was a collaborative effort of various departments, including General Medicine, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Dentistry, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

The camp’s success was greatly supported by social worker Rahul Yadav and advocate Rajiv Yadav
