Varun Arjun University (VAU), Shahjahanpur, U.P., successfully organized the SAARTHI Pathways: Learning from Experience Mentoring and Orientation Program on 30 January 2026 at the University Council Hall, under the NEP SAARTHI initiative of the National Education Policy (NEP) Cell.
The interactive session witnessed active participation from SAARTHIs of 2025, including Krishna Gupta, Final Year MBBS student from Varun Arjun Medical College & Research Hospital; Himanshu, B.Pharm student from Varun Arjun College of Pharmacy; and Sheetal, B.Sc. Nursing student from Varun Arjun College of Nursing. They interacted with the newly nominated SAARTHIs for 2026—Giriraj Kirtee Kishore, Final Year MBBS; Sandhyarani Gope, MBBS; and Abhay Pratap Singh, B.Pharm—along with other interested students.
During the session, Krishna Gupta sensitized the new SAARTHIs about the vision, purpose, and scope of NEP 2020, emphasizing its learner-centric, inclusive, and multidisciplinary approach. The senior SAARTHIs shared their firsthand experiences of conducting NEP-related activities, highlighting opportunities, learnings, and challenges faced while implementing the initiative at the institutional level. The discussions encouraged reflection, peer learning, and active student engagement.
The NEP SAARTHI Coordinator of VAU, Dr. Poornima S. Bhat, congratulated the outgoing SAARTHIs for their dedicated efforts in promoting NEP 2020 objectives and motivated the newly nominated SAARTHIs to actively engage in academic mentoring, peer interaction, and innovative educational practices.
It was also highlighted that the SAARTHIs were felicitated with certificates on 26 January 2026 during the Republic Day celebrations by VAU Pro-Chancellor Dr. Ashok Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kiran Agrawal and Dean of VAMC & RH Dr.Ravindranath Shukla. Their contributions were further appreciated by Chancellor of VAU Dr. Keshav Agarwal and Vice-Chancellor of BIU Dr. Lata Agarwal.
The program concluded with a reaffirmation of VAU’s commitment to NEP 2020 and the vital role of SAARTHIs in fostering a progressive and experiential learning environment.
