Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital Organizes Free Eye Checkup Camp at RHTC, Miranpur Katra

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital organized a free health camp at the Rural Health Training Center near the Nakhas police station in Miranpur Katra. A total of 152 patients registered; six were selected for free cataract surgery to be performed at Rohilkhand Hospital. All patients received free eye drops and medicines.
Doctors used the opportunity to raise awareness about regular eye checkups and informed attendees about the hospital’s ophthalmology services, including diagnosis and treatment of mature cataract, corneal diseases, retinal examinations and treatment, cataract surgery by incision and phacoemulsification methods, treatment and surgery for conditions like strabismus and lacrimal (nasolacrimal) issues, and affordable computerized spectacle prescription and verification.
The hospital also offers a Family Health Card for INR 200 valid for one year. Staff present at the camp included ophthalmologist Dr. Chinmay Patel, general physician Dr. Aditya, obstetrics & gynecology specialist Dr. Anju, dentist Dr. Avantika, eye technician paramedics, and medical social worker Jitendra Gangwar.
