Shahjahanpur, August 11, 2026: Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, under Varun Arjun University, organized a free health camp today, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Kamalapur village in the Khudaganj area. A total of 528 patients registered for the camp and received free medical consultation and healthcare services.
During the camp, 10 patients were diagnosed with cataracts and will undergo free cataract surgery at Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra. Free blood sugar tests were conducted for 115 patients, while approximately 148 patients received free blood pressure check-ups. Medicines and eye drops were distributed free of cost to 475 patients. Coupons offering discounts on MRI, CT Scan and other diagnostic investigations were also provided.
The medical team and PRO staff educated villagers about the importance of regular health check-ups and informed them about the Family Health Card, which is available for ₹200 and remains valid for one year. Cardholders can avail themselves of a free OPD registration slip, an additional 20% discount on medicines and diagnostic tests, and a free admission file. The card also provides discounts of 25% on general surgeries and 10% where blood is required.
The hospital provides affordable 24-hour healthcare facilities, including ICU, ventilator, dialysis, MRI, CT Scan, ultrasound, surgeries, medicines, free bed and nursing care, and medical consultation.
The camp received special support from Gram Pradhan Gayatri Gangwar, Viresh Kumar Gangwar and Brajesh Mishra. Specialists from various departments, including Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Dentistry, along with PRO Vipin Sharma and paramedical staff, were present.
