Varun Arjun University successfully concluded its National Anti-Ragging Week from August 12–18, 2025, with a series of programs aimed at spreading awareness against ragging and ensuring a safe and supportive campus environment. The week-long campaign was jointly organized by Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Varun Arjun College of Pharmacy, Paramedical courses, Forensic science, and Varun Arjun College of Nursing.
The celebrations featured a wide range of engaging activities including poster-making competitions, skits, role plays, oath-taking ceremonies, awareness rallies, and interactive sessions. Students actively participated by preparing creative posters, performing impactful skits, and taking pledges to maintain harmony, safety, and discipline. A special awareness rally was also taken out by students and faculty members, carrying banners and slogans to spread the message of “Say No to Ragging” within and beyond the campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Chancellor Dr. Keshav Agrawal, Pro Chancellor Dr. Ashok Agrawal, and Vice Chancellor Dr. Kiran Agrawal strongly reiterated that ragging would not be tolerated in any form at the University. They lauded the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty, and staff in making the campaign a success.
The Dean of VAMC & RH, Dr. (Col) Ravindranath Shukla, sensitized students about the legal, academic, and psychological consequences of ragging. Dr. Poornima S. Bhat, IQAC Coordinator of VAU, guided students in presenting a thought-provoking anti-ragging role play, while Dr. Dharmender Gupta, Professor & HOD of Community Medicine, mentored skits depicting the harmful effects of ragging. The Equal Opportunity Cell, under Dr. Amit Singh, Deputy Medical Superintendent and Dr. Shivani Gupta, coordinated sensitization events throughout the week.Dr. Pradeep Singh, Principal of Varun Arjun College of Pharmacy, led a series of awareness initiatives to strengthen the campaign’s core message.
The smooth execution of the programs was ensured by Administrative Officer Mr. Lalit Chauhan and Office Administrator Mr. Siddhant Gangwar, who supervised the arrangements.
