Varun Arjun University organized a free health camp in Chak Katha Kankar village

On March 22, 2026, Varun Arjun University, Varun Arjun Medical College, and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, organized a free health camp in Chak Katha Kankar village, Mirzapur area. A total of 625 patients registered, with 10 diagnosed with cataracts slated for free surgery at the hospital. Free services included blood sugar tests for 97 patients, blood pressure checks for about 110, and medicine distribution to 571, along with discount coupons for MRI, CT scans, and other tests.
The health team and PRO educated attendees on regular check-ups and introduced the family health card, available for ₹200 and valid for one year, offering free OPD slips, 20% extra discounts on medicines and tests, free admission files, 25% off general surgeries, and 10% on blood needs. The hospital provides free admission, beds, nursing care, and consultations, plus 24/7 affordable services like operations, ICU, ventilators, dialysis, and imaging. Key contributors included Mohit Sharma, Karuna Shankar Dixit, Sushil Agnihotri, and Vijay Chauhan; specialists from general, eye, bone, and pediatric departments, led by doctors like Dr. Abhinav Bedi and PRO Vipin Sharma, were present with paramedical staff.
