Varun Arjun University, in association with Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, organized a Free Health Camp in Bahadurpur Khurd village of the Nigohi region on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. The camp was conducted to provide quality healthcare services to rural residents and promote awareness about preventive healthcare and regular medical check-ups.
A total of 488 patients registered and received free consultations from a team of experienced medical specialists. During the health screening, six patients were diagnosed with cataracts and were referred for free cataract surgery at Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra.
The camp provided several free healthcare services, including blood sugar testing for 105 patients and blood pressure screening for approximately 125 patients. In addition, 425 patients received free eye drops and essential medicines. Patients were also given discount coupons for MRI, CT Scan, and other diagnostic investigations to support further treatment.
The medical team and the Public Relations Office (PRO) educated villagers about the importance of routine health check-ups and introduced the Family Health Card, available for ₹200 and valid for one year. The card offers free OPD registration, an additional 20% discount on medicines and diagnostic tests, free admission files, 25% discount on general surgeries, and 10% discount on blood-related services.
The hospital also informed patients about its 24×7 healthcare facilities, including ICU, ventilator support, dialysis, MRI, CT Scan, ultrasound, affordable medicines, and surgical services. The camp received valuable support from Village Head Munendra Singh. The medical team included specialists from Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics & Gynecology, along with PRO Vipin Sharma and the paramedical staff, ensuring the successful delivery of healthcare services to the community.
