Varun Arjun University, along with Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthara, Shahjahanpur, organized a Free Health Fair on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in Veerampur village of the Katara area. The health camp received an encouraging response from the local community, with a total of 327 patients registering for free medical consultation and examination.
During the camp, 6 patients were diagnosed with cataracts, and their cataract surgeries will be performed free of cost at Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthara. Free blood sugar tests were conducted for 35 patients, while approximately 50 patients underwent free blood pressure examinations. Free eye drops and medicines were distributed to 275 patients. Discount coupons for MRI, CT Scan, and other diagnostic investigations were also distributed.
The health team and PRO team educated local residents about the importance of regular health check-ups and informed them about the Family Health Card, which is available for ₹200 and remains valid for one year. Cardholders receive free OPD registration, an additional 20% discount on medicines and diagnostic tests, and a free admission file. The card also provides a 25% discount on general surgeries and a 10% discount when blood is required.
The hospital also provides affordable 24-hour healthcare facilities, including free admission, free beds, nursing care and medical consultation, along with surgeries, medicines, ICU, ventilator, dialysis, MRI, CT Scan and ultrasound services.
Social worker Harish Gangwar made a special contribution to the successful organization of the camp. Specialist doctors Dr. Nachiket, Dr. Neha, Dr. Jasmine and Dr. Mohit Kumar, along with PRO Jitendra Gangwar and paramedical staff of Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, were present during the health camp.
