The Prize Distribution Ceremony of the Sports Week (15th–20th July 2025) was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Varun Arjun Medical College. Students enjoyed the event wholeheartedly, showcasing the true spirit of sportsmanship.
The program was graced by Principal & Dean Dr. R. N. Shukla, Medical Superintendent Dr. Pandit Shamrao Powar, HOD Forensic Medicine Dr. Amit Bhardwaj, HOD Obstetrics & Gynaecology Dr. Santhanam Sampath, Professors Dr. Aditi, Dr. Rajeev, Dr. BJ Pradeep, Dr. Bindu Sharma, Dr. Priya, Dr. Dhananjay, along with faculty members Dr. Rohit, Pharmacy Faculty Junaid and Mr.Nagendra, and others. Sports Incharge Dr. Shadab and Sports Teacher Mr. Aman Awasthi also played a key role in the successful organization of the event. The presence of our respected Chairman added further prestige to the ceremony.
Prizes were distributed to the winners by Principal Sir, Dr. Amit Bhardwaj, and other Heads of Departments, appreciating the dedication and talent of the students. Among the achievers were Dr. BJ Pradeep, Dr. Bindu Sharma, and Dr. Priya, followed by PG students Dr. Waqar and Dr. Vicky, whose accomplishments were also recognized.
The event was smoothly coordinated by Intern Dr. Sanchit Pathak, Gauri Midha, and Chetna Gupta along with Abhilasha Sharma, Shashwati Swain, Sandhya Rani Gope, and Aditi Rai, whose contributions made the program memorable.
Adding further glory to the institution, Ms. Tiara (Final Year) secured 3rd position in Debate & Speech at the prestigious AIIMS Pulse Fest, while Ms. Anvita (3rd Year) achieved 3rd position in Art. In addition, Ms. Anvita also brought academic recognition to the college by being selected for the prestigious ICMR–Short Term Studentship (STS) Project 2025, further enhancing the institution’s reputation. Moreover, Shivansh Srivastava (Final Year) won 3rd position in Swimming, bringing laurels to the college.
In his inspiring address, Principal Sir highlighted the importance of sports in developing discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities, and motivated students to continue excelling both in academics and extracurriculars.
At the conclusion of the program, Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Keshav Kumar Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Ashok Agarwal, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kiran Agarwal graced the occasion. They emphasized the vital role of sports in shaping personality, building resilience, and fostering unity, while extending their best wishes to the students for a bright and successful future.
