Mission Shakti 5.0: Fostering Self-Reliance and Social Awareness among Women at Varun Arjun University

Varun Arjun University, Banthra–Shahjahanpur, organized the “Mission Shakti – Phase 5.0” program on October 17, 2025, with great enthusiasm to promote women’s empowerment. Around 150 students from Varun Arjun College of Nursing actively participated, showcasing themes of self-reliance, leadership, and women’s social roles through creative presentations. The event aimed to inspire confidence, leadership qualities, and social awareness among female students.


During the event, Nodal Officer Dr. Shivani Gupta emphasized the importance of Mission Shakti as a movement symbolizing social awakening and women’s empowerment. Vice Principal Mr. Deepak Pachauri appreciated the creativity and dedication of the students, while Activity Incharge Ms. Renuka shared that poster, song, and stage-play competitions were organized. B.Sc. Nursing students Shubhi and Rudra Pratap won first prize in the poster competition on the theme “Women’s Safety and Self-Reliance.” Digital Media Cell Incharge Mr. Sachin Chauhan highlighted the importance of digital platforms in spreading awareness to a wider audience.


At the conclusion, Dr. Shivani Gupta encouraged students to become confident, self-reliant, and socially aware individuals. The senior management — Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Keshav Kumar Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Agarwal, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kiran Agarwal — jointly congratulated the participants, stating that women’s empowerment forms the foundation of societal progress and the university will continue to organize such inspiring initiatives in the future.
