Healthy India, Prosperous India: VAU Celebrates World Health Day 2026 with Yoga & Community Outreach

On April 7, 2026, Varun Arjun University, Banthra–Shahjahanpur, organized a grand and inspiring program on the occasion of World Health Day 2026 to promote health awareness and encourage a healthy lifestyle. The event began with a morning yoga and meditation session led by renowned yoga expert Lalit Kumar Chauhan, where nursing students actively participated in various asanas and pranayama practices. Speakers emphasized that yoga is not just physical exercise but a holistic approach to achieving balance between body, mind, and soul. The university faculty and staff also joined the session, reinforcing the importance of integrating yoga into daily life to combat stress and maintain overall well-being.
Following the yoga session, a large awareness rally was conducted with active participation from pharmacy and nursing students. The rally aimed to educate the public about hygiene, balanced diet, regular exercise, and preventive healthcare. Faculty members highlighted the importance of prevention over cure and the critical role of healthcare professionals, especially nurses, in serving society. The rally passed through nearby areas, spreading messages like “Healthy India, Prosperous India” and “Yoga for Wellness.” The program concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony and appreciation from the university leadership, who praised the collective efforts of students and staff. Overall, the event successfully created awareness and reinforced the university’s commitment to community health and social responsibility.
