Under the aegis of Varun Arjun University, SIMCRAFT PG Model Competition 2026 was successfully organized on 20th May 2026 at Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Shahjahanpur. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from postgraduate students across multiple departments and served as a vibrant academic platform aimed at fostering creativity, scientific thinking, teamwork, and interdisciplinary knowledge exchange.
Postgraduate students from the Departments of Pathology, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Microbiology, General Surgery, and Dermatology actively participated. They developed and presented educational models using easily available materials to simplify complex yet clinically relevant topics. The models effectively demonstrated medical concepts in a visual and engaging manner, reflecting strong conceptual clarity and innovation.
The models were evaluated by Dean & Principal Dr. (Col) Ravindranath Shukla, PG Director Dr. Deepalk Oberoi, and Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. P. S. Powar, based on scientific accuracy, conceptual clarity, clinical relevance, innovation, presentation quality, and teamwork.
The programme was graced by Dr. Raja Chatterjee, Head of the Department of Pathology, along with faculty members from various departments, who appreciated the enthusiasm and preparation of the students. The event was coordinated by Professor of ENT, Dr. Poornima S. Bhat, whose efforts ensured smooth conduct of the programme.
The first prize was bagged by Dr. Vicky Kumar and Dr. Vaibhav Gupta from the Department of General Surgery, while the second prize was awarded to Dr. Sudhir B. Mishra from the Department of Microbiology for their outstanding presentations.
The event received appreciation from patrons including Dr. Keshav Agarwal, Chancellor VAU; Dr. Ashok Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor VAU; Dr. Lata Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor BIU; and Dr. Kiran Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor VAU. Dean & Principal Dr. (Col) R. N. Shukla emphasized the importance of such activities in enhancing learning and teamwork. Overall, the event concluded successfully, reinforcing academic excellence and innovation.
