Varun Arjun University, Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, in association with Helpline Society Shahjahanpur, organized a free health camp under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Vidya Ply & Board, Akarra Lalpur, on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
The camp was inaugurated by District Magistrate Shri Umesh Pratap Singh and Helpline Society President Shri Ashok Agrawal by lighting the lamp. Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Shri Rajneesh Kumar Mishra, Dadraul MLA Shri Arvind Kumar Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Mithlesh Kumar, Shri Rajesh Kumar Verma, Smt. Shilpi Gupta, public representatives and officials were present. The dignitaries inspected the camp and appreciated the healthcare services.
A total of 445 patients registered. Cataract was detected in 35 patients, whose free surgeries will be done at Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra. Blood sugar tests for 120 patients and blood pressure checks for 140 patients were done free of cost. Eye drops and medicines were distributed free to 435 patients. Discount coupons for MRI, CT scan and other investigations were also given.
The health team created awareness about regular health check-ups. Principal Dr. R.N. Shukla informed about hospital facilities and the Family Health Card for Rs 200, valid for one year. It offers free OPD registration and 20% extra discount on medicines and investigations.
