National Sports Day 2025

Varun Arjun University, Shahjahanpur (U.P.)  organized National Sports Day 2025 on 29th and 30th August. This event will was organized under Fit India Mission, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and was  dedicated to the birth anniversary of Hockey Magician Major Dhyan Chand.

Varun Arjun University organized various competitions highlighting the importance of sports, in which students from medical, pharmacy, nursing, forensic sciences, commerce and management and paramedical sciences colleges participated enthusiastically.

The games like tug of war, cricket and 100m race were played and added excitement to the event.On this occasion, a glimpse of pride and joy was clearly visible in the eyes of the students. 

The day-long competitions were followed by a prize distribution ceremony in the evening. The winning teams and players and runners-up were awarded with medals and trophies at the ceremony.

The credit for the success of this grand event also goes to the university’s sports in-charge, sports teachers and organizing committee. 

The Chancellor of Varun Arjuna University Dr. Keshav Kumar Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Agarwal and Vice Chancellor Dr. Kiran Agarwal jointly extended warm greetings to students, teachers and staff on National Sports Day. 

Recalling Major Dhyan Chand Singh’s spirit of sportsmanship and dedication, the university inspired students to embrace discipline, diligence and honesty in their lives to reach new heights of success.
