Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra Shahjahanpr under Varun Arjun University, organized a free Orthopaedic Health Camp at the Urban Health Centre, Lalpur, Kanth Road, Shahjahanpur, on Sunday, August 9, 2026. The camp aimed to provide accessible and quality orthopaedic healthcare services to the local community.
A total of 145 patients registered for the camp and received free medical consultation and examination. Free blood pressure testing was conducted for 60 patients, while blood sugar testing was provided to 40 patients. Medicines were distributed free of cost to 125 patients. Discount coupons for various diagnostic tests, CT scans, and MRI examinations were also distributed among the patients.
During the camp, patients were educated about the orthopaedic facilities available at the hospital, including treatment for arthritis, joint pain, back pain, sciatica, weakness and numbness of the legs, tingling sensations, neck and spinal pain, congenital deformities of the hands and legs, bone infections, bone tuberculosis, and successful treatment of infected bones with pus discharge. Information was also provided regarding knee and hip replacement, plaster and surgical treatment of all types of fractures, as well as operation and ICU facilities available at affordable rates.
Patients were also informed about the Family Health Card, available for ₹200 and valid for one year. Cardholders can avail a free OPD registration slip, 20% discount on medicines and diagnostic tests, and a free admission file along with a 20% discount on medicines during hospitalization.
The camp was conducted under the guidance of Orthopaedic Specialist Dr. Vipin Khandelwal, along with his medical team, paramedical staff, and Medical College Medical PRO Mr. Vipin Sharma.
