Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, under Varun Arjun University, organized a free multi-specialty health camp on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at its Rural Health Training Centre, located opposite Nakhase Police Station, Miranpur Katra. The camp aimed to provide quality healthcare services and raise awareness about preventive medical care.
A total of 130 patients registered. After detailed eye checkups, 4 patients were identified for free cataract surgery at Rohilkhand Hospital. Around 70 patients got free blood sugar tests and about 90 patients received free blood pressure screening. 118 patients were given free medicines and eye drops were distributed as needed.
Doctors informed people about regular eye checkups and the hospital’s advanced ophthalmology services. Facilities include glaucoma screening and treatment, corneal disease management, retinal examination and treatment, cataract surgery by conventional and phacoemulsification methods, squint treatment, lacrimal duct disorder care, pterygium surgery, computerized vision testing, and accurate spectacle power assessment at affordable rates.
The hospital also promoted its Family Health Card for ₹200, valid for one year, offering healthcare benefits.
The camp was attended by Dr. Neha – Ophthalmology, Dr. Ankit Kaushik – General Medicine, Dr. Sugandha – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dr. Madeha Umar – Dentistry, ophthalmic technicians, paramedical staff, and Mr. Jitendra Gangwar, Medical Social Worker.
