A free dermatology health camp was organized on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the Municipal Town Hall, Tilhar, by Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, under Varun Arjun University. The camp aimed to provide accessible skin healthcare services and promote awareness about the importance of regular medical check-ups.
During the camp, patients received free consultations and dermatological examinations from experienced specialists. Free blood pressure and blood sugar tests were conducted for all attendees, and essential medicines were distributed at no cost. Patients were also provided with expert medical advice regarding the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various skin disorders.
To further support patient care, the hospital distributed discount coupons for diagnostic investigations, CT scans, and MRI scans. Additionally, patients referred from the camp to Rohilkhand Hospital will be eligible for free laboratory investigations, including Complete Blood Count (CBC), Kidney Function Test (KFT), Liver Function Test (LFT), and Blood Sugar tests.
Doctors from the Department of Dermatology and the Public Relations team encouraged people to undergo regular health screenings and highlighted the advanced dermatology services available at the hospital. These include PUVA Chamber therapy for the treatment of vitiligo (white patches) and psoriasis, laser hair removal, treatment of warts and moles, management of wrinkles and acne scars, and care for pigmentation, acne, excessive sweating, fungal infections, eczema, itching, and other skin diseases.
The hospital also informed visitors about its Family Health Card, available for ₹200, which remains valid for one year and offers healthcare benefits. The camp was conducted under the medical supervision of Dr. Shaily Awasthi from the Department of Dermatology, with the support of the paramedical staff and Mr. Raisuddin, Public Relations Officer of the Medical College.
