Shahjahanpur, July 4, 2026: Under the aegis of Varun Arjun University, Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, organized a free health camp in Fazilpur village of the Madanapur area. The initiative aimed to provide accessible healthcare services and raise awareness about preventive health among rural residents.
A total of 327 patients were registered during the camp. Screening identified six patients with cataracts, all of whom will receive free cataract surgery at Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital. In addition, 35 patients underwent free blood sugar testing, while nearly 50 patients received complimentary blood pressure check-ups. Free eye drops and essential medicines were distributed to 275 beneficiaries. Discount coupons for MRI, CT scans, and other diagnostic investigations were also provided.
The hospital’s medical team and Public Relations Officer (PRO) educated villagers about the importance of regular health check-ups and introduced the Family Health Card, available for ₹200 with one-year validity. Cardholders are entitled to free OPD registration, an additional 20% discount on medicines and diagnostic tests, a free admission file upon hospitalization, 25% discount on general surgeries, and 10% discount on blood services when required.
The PRO also informed attendees that the hospital offers free admission assistance, free beds, free nursing care, and free medical consultation. Advanced facilities, including ICU, ventilator support, dialysis, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, and various surgical services, are available round the clock at affordable rates.
The camp was supported by Mr. Ishpal Sagar (District Panchayat Member). The event was attended by specialist doctors Dr. Kush Patel, Dr. Chinmay, Dr. Rohit, Dr. Bindu Madhavi, Dr. Adhar Kaul, along with PRO Jitendra Gangwar and the paramedical staff of the medical college and hospital.
