As part of the observance on 4 February 2026, public health briefings were conducted in the OPD waiting area at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Rakhi Verma, Radiation Oncologist, and Dr. Poornima S. Interns Dr. Kapil Gujjar and Dr. Khushboo Yadav also actively participated by delivering awareness talks, emphasising the importance of early medical consultation and timely diagnosis. A key highlight of the programme was an experience-sharing session by a cancer patient diagnosed and treated at the institution, who underscored the need to seek medical attention for early symptoms and not to neglect seemingly minor ailments.
In addition to the public outreach activities, an interactive academic lecture series was conducted from 2nd to 7th February 2026 in the Departments of General Surgery, ENT, Departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Respiratory Medicine, and Pediatrics highlighting the role of radiotherapy in commonly encountered malignancies. Poster presentations and short quizzes were organised for interns and postgraduate students to reinforce learning, and participation certificates were distributed to encourage academic engagement.
These activities were organised with the support of Dr. Keshav Agarwal, Chancellor, VAU; Dr. Ashok Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor; Dr. Lata Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor, BIU; and Dr. Kiran Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor, VAU, under the guidance of Dr. (Col.)
