Mission Shakti Phase-5: Women Empowered through Nutrition, Safety, and Equal Opportunities at Varun Arjun University,Sensitization program on Good touch/Bad touch
Varun Arjun University organized Mission Shakti Phase-5, a significant initiative focused on women’s nutrition, self-protection, and equal opportunities. The program inspired girl students with renewed confidence and direction.
The event began with Dr. Dharmendra Kumar Gupta, Head of Community Medicine, who highlighted nutrition as the foundation of strength, stating that a balanced diet nurtures body, mind, and soul, thereby strengthening families and society.
Dr. Shivani Gupta, Nodal Officer of Mission Shakti, delivered a powerful lecture on “Good Touch and Bad Touch.” She explained that a good touch reflects trust and respect, while a bad touch creates fear and discomfort. Encouraging students to raise their voices, she said, “Protecting oneself is the real form of self-empowerment.” She also stressed that equal opportunities should not remain in words but be visible across education, employment, and leadership, affirming that “Equal rights are every citizen’s birthright.”
The interactive session saw students asking questions, sharing experiences, and expressing views, making the program a platform for practical learning rather than just speeches.
In their concluding address, Chancellor Dr. Keshav Agrawal, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Ashok Agrawal, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kiran Agrawal emphasized that Mission Shakti is not merely an educational program but a social movement, aimed at spreading the message of nutrition, safety, and equality to strengthen future generations. They added that the nutrition awareness camp reflected the Department of Community Medicine’s serious commitment to Mission Shakti 5.0, with the goal of empowering communities to take charge of their health and ensure long-term social change.
