Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, under Varun Arjun University, is proud to announce the observance of the 15-Day “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan” from 17th September to 2nd October 2025, in alignment with the Government of India’s initiative to promote women’s health and family well-being. The campaign aims to empower women through preventive healthcare, nutritional awareness, early detection of diseases, and promotion of healthy lifestyle practices, thereby strengthening families and communities.
The campaign will commence on 17th September with a Blood Donation Camp, encouraging voluntary participation from faculty, students, and the community to support emergency and maternal healthcare needs. During the fortnight, a series of programs will be organized focusing on maternal and child health, adolescent health, nutrition, and preventive screening. Comprehensive health camps will provide free medical check-ups including blood pressure, diabetes, anemia, cancer screening (oral, breast, and cervical), TB and sickle cell testing, and growth monitoring for children. Special sessions on antenatal care, maternal nutrition, and child vaccination will be conducted to ensure holistic family health. Nutritional awareness drives will highlight the importance of balanced diets, locally available foods, and healthy cooking practices, along with demonstrations and distribution of informative material.
Workshops on mental health, menstrual hygiene, and lifestyle diseases will be arranged, complemented by yoga and AYUSH sessions to encourage physical and mental well-being. Awareness programs through rallies, street plays, posters, and digital platforms will ensure widespread community participation. Additionally, beneficiaries will be assisted in accessing government health schemes such as Ayushman Bharat and other maternal and child welfare programs.
This initiative reflects the commitment of Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital to extend quality healthcare beyond clinical services, fostering awareness, prevention, and empowerment.
Dr.Amit Singh, Deputy Medical Superintendent of VAMC & Rh will be the nodal officer for the entire campaign. With the active participation of faculty, students, healthcare professionals, and the local community, the campaign seeks to build a healthier tomorrow where a healthy woman leads to a strong family and a strong nation.
